Meet Zombelina, new contributor to Mom Photographer and Co

Hello!

My mom’s making a comeback to blogging, and she’s roped my little sister and me into it! According to her, blogging will help us improve our writing skills and find our people. I’ve got some cool stuff lined up for you in my future blogs. Yummy baking recipes, my adventures as a teen entrepreneur, stories on the cool events we’re helping in as volunteers, and behind the scenes of my homeschooling life.

Zombieessssss

But before we dive into all that, let me introduce myself. I go by the name (well, one of many) Zombelina. Why? Because my family thinks I’m the living dead reincarnated or something. No worries though, I’d rather eat baked goods than brains.

Food!!

Speaking about eating… I enjoy baking a lot, and here you will have access to all my kitchen adventures. So far, I’ve baked a bunch of different cookies, pretzels, apple crisps, and other delicious stuff! I’ve been to baking classes at an amazing bakery near me, and I learned how to make ice cream there! Oh, and did I mention my love for cheese? I’ve been to several cheese shops, and I loved tasting the samples there. Whenever we’re exploring somewhere and I notice a cheese shop, I force everyone there so I can get some yummy cheese samples. We often walk out of there with a bag full of delicious cheeses.

Reading

I also really enjoy reading. If I’m at home and I’m not baking or doing school work, I’m in my room head deep into horrors, mysteries, and thrillers. I love it when books can scare me, or really surprise me with an unexpected twist. One of my favorite book series is Lockwood & Co. It is a supernatural thriller series about a small agency of 3 teens hunting ghosts in London. The twist at the end of the series really shocked me.

New Docents!

Recently, my mom, my sister, and I have become docents at Columbia State Park. We went through four weeks of training, teaching us the park’s history and our docent duties. Columbia hosts many cool events throughout the year and we’ve already helped in two big ones. My sis will be talking more about our time there, so stay tuned!

Teen Money Making

In some of my future blogs, I’m going to talk all about how I kickstarted a business at the age of 9. Recently I’ve also been learning all about making money-smart moves in the world of teen finance so that I’m making money even when I’m asleep. When those blogs are posted, I would like you to comment with your money-making wisdom, so we could turn this blog into a teen financial masterclass.

  1. Cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in Türkiye a few months ago, and OMG the cheese!! At a regular breakfast spread there would be 3 or 4 wonderful cheeses. Still looking for some of those cheeses here. Ok, so I’m not only interested in cheese, but that caught my fancy. Interested in seeing where your entrepreneur adventures take you.

    • Having delicious cheese for breakfast sounds amazing!!! I’m excited to see where my money adventure goes too! Come back to read my teen money making blogs soon!

  2. I have only one question… why does your family think you’re the living dead reincarnated??? I’m so curious! And I love cheese too!!! Bring on the cheese stories! I just tried a new cheese: Wensleydale with cranberries. It’s dee-licious!

    • I’m pretty sure its because when I’d wake up and come out of my room in the morning, I looked groggy and I was grumpy. One morning they decided to start making zombie noises at me, and I’d make them back. Then they started calling me a zombie, then Zombelina!
