365 Self-Portrait Project (week 20th)

What can I say today… . I had a really rough night and my eyes are really heavy today.

I’m sleepy. Very sleepy. I’ve been like that all week. I’m speechless as well. The lack of energy is killing me… . I smell like spit all the time and the only me-time is while taking a shower which these days I try to stretch as long as I can just to have that time for myself. But life goes on so do my 365 Project.

On Friday while our No 2 was napping I took No 1 outside our apartment to spent some time with her… I ended up with bunch of pictures of her and a few selfies. The weather has been really beautiful. Too bad I can’t just go outside, lay on the chair with a book and a cup of coffee and enjoy the sun… .

I do, though, have some time to read a book. A few pages at a time. Mostly while feeding No 2. I guess, she is in a growing stage or there is something wrong with me because she acts like she is hungry all the time. So she eats all the time and I have a book always close by so whenever I feed her I just don’t sit and stare blankly at the tv. I do actually do that with the book anyway. But at least I look like I’m reading and that makes me feel better πŸ˜‰

Sunday was the Solar Eclipse. We didn’t watch it. We just went outside with our No 1 to enjoy the weird light, sit on the grass and play. She didn’t play much though, she slept for most of the time πŸ™‚

Photo Art Friday

Monday morning I started with oatmeal-strawberry smoothie. I wanted to post this recipe but I had no time to do that.

Later that day we went to a pool. Fun time for our twoΒ  year old. Last year she was in the water trying to swim. This year she is more afraid so she just played around it which was fine with me as I really didn’t feel like getting into the water.

I love scones – that’s official.

On Tuesday I woke up really early and to fill up the time somehow I baked some strawberry-dark chocolate chunks scones. Yum!

That’s from when No. 2 was napping and the room was dark. I really like how this picture turned out.

Random shots from yesterday.

While the last picture is not the best one, for some reason I really like it:

It reminds me of this photo from when I was pregnant with No.2:

Normally I would’ve used today’s picture in this post as well but I’ve decided to change it as I do not have that much time each morning (and I’m really tired) to think about it.

Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend.

These are gorgeous! I especially love the one of you looking out the window & then of course the second to the last. I’m amazed by your ability to fit these in with all you have going on.

    1. thank you, Gina! the picture where I’m looking out is one of the favorite from this project.

  4. Wonderful shots, all the pictures are fantastic, love the first one and the one youΒ΄re looking out

  5. First I want to say that you take wonderful photo’s. I admire you for sticking to the “Selfie” project. I liked the Shadow shot and also the ones looking out the window. I do feel though you need or deserve some time for just “you” – Is there no one who could give you a bit of a break? Hang in there because you are doing a wonderful job with your little ones.

    1. thank you for your kind comment , Ida. I do have my husband to help me but I am a creature who doesn’t like to ask for help and wants to do everything by myself. That creates a little tension around here sometimes πŸ˜‰

  6. I like your selfies. I’m sorry to hear you’re so tired. Do you have post-partum depression?

    1. so far I don’t but I had it after my first one was born.

  7. Nice summary of your days with self portraits! It takes me back to when my son was little. I remember times where it felt like I was feeding him all the time. This time goes by in a blur, with the sleep deprivation and all. It’s good you are documenting it.

    1. I think that someday, thanks to this project I will be able to look back and smile at how easy life was with such a small kids. My mom always say “small kids, small problems. big kids, big problems.” πŸ˜‰

  8. Beautiful images! The one where you’re looking out the window is gorgeous! I love how you include your children in your images. I miss my children being little. Let me tell you, it goes by very fast and then their grown and now I’m a gramma!!

    1. It’s hard not to include them because we spent all the time together and whenever I try to hide… well… it’s impossible πŸ˜‰
I know how this time fly by. It was like yesterday when I found out I’m pregnant for the first time… and now… two little creatures in my arms… crazy πŸ™‚

    1. thank you so much. Misty.

  12. As always, your pictures are awesome! Oh boy do I remember those early days where showering was a luxury! It was just a haze, and to kill time during those loooong nursing sessions I used to read too!

    1. oh yes… they are very loooooong mostly when I want to put the baby to sleep for the night… she seems to be aware of it and being in very deep sleep while nursing she is wide awake the second I put her to bed, and the nursing starts again… πŸ˜‰

  13. These are beautiful!! You obviously have a very busy and full life. You fit in selfies so effortlessly. Great for you!! Nice to see you in the picture

  14. Honey, you look fabulous!! πŸ™‚

  16. Love all your selfies. You always come up with the best ideas.

  17. Oh, the tiredness…I totally get it. Nursing makes me sleeeeeepy!

And, I doubt there is anything wrong with you. It’s probably a growth spurt and she’s just growing. Our first did that really bad!
