365 Self-Portrait Project (week 14th and 15th)

I normally post my self-portraits on Friday. I skipped it last week. Tomorrow and on Saturday we’re going to be quite busy and because of that I do not want to postpone this post again.

So here we go:

We’ve got another baby and despite her arrival there isn’t much that has changed around here. Our daily life routine is the same. I slept through the entire night last night, for example. Considering that I breastfeed it was really painful when I woke up. I was simply really exhausted and the baby didn’t wake up at all, so… :/

Yes, she sleeps a lot. I mean, A LOT.

365/93

Lets start from Saturday, April 8th. There is not much to say about this picture. Our daughter was playing hide and seek under my huge belly and she had a great time as you can plainly see.

There was just a few days left of my pregnancy and my belly was really big. I was more then ready to put this pregnancy behind me.

365/94

On Sunday we went to the park and while my husband was chasing our daughter around the playground I was enjoying the sun and the beautiful early Spring weather.

365/95

🙂

365/96

In the waiting room at the hospital.

The day before the delivery I had to go to the hospital to have my blood drown so on the next day I wouldn’t have to do that and the whole process of getting me ready for the surgery would go much faster.

365/97

Ok, I cheated once. I did not take a self-portrait that day. My husband took a few shots of me and our kids. On the first picture I still couldn’t feel my legs at all and just got plenty of painkillers so finally feeling relief I smiled 🙂

The second picture is our newborn a few minutes after being born 🙂

365/98

At the hospital I had two days of lemon gello-cherry popsicles-veggy broth-coffee diet.

For breakfast,

For lunch,

For dinner.

I was getting so tired of it.

365/99

I started moving around my room pretty fast. The second day after the C-section I was up changing diapers and getting ants in my pants. I wanted go home really bad so we asked my physician if I could go home earlier… and by 4pm on Friday I was home 🙂

365/100

Pretty much sleepy baby, and tired but glad to be home mamma.

365/101

New Life.

365/102

My incision still hurts a lot. I tried to skip a few dozes of my painkillers but that was a mistake.

Not very pretty photo but liking it or not that’s actually a big part of me now.

365/103

My few years ago injured back hurts even more than the incision. Our new baby is the cuddly one. She likes to be held and she likes to sleep on my or on her dad’s chest. That pretty much makes my back really sore. Our first one wasn’t like that. She pretty much was content in her laundry basket 🙂

So, here I am. Enjoying my green tea (haven’t had the chance to get back to coffee) and editing pictures while both kids napping.

365/104

One week old cutie pie.

365/105

No more baby in me but still… remembering. Now it’s all behind me and I’m thinking: “Would I do it again? I don’t think so“. There is so many women who love to be pregnant.

They feel pretty.

They feel blooming.

They feel fulfilled.

They feel… good.

But not me.

This time, though, having a great experience during delivery I almost already have forgotten all the bad things and tough 9 months 🙂

Time to move on.

  7. Sooooo good having you back! I’ve been reading, just haven’t been up to posting and commenting. So sick.
The incision looks so painful. Take it easy. The liquid diet sounded boring. And my favorite was you at home in front of the window. Will email soon! So happy to hear you’re feeling good this time around. So far!
