My new passion is being born and you’re witnessing it.
As you probably noticed by now the last week or so I’ve been busy… crocheting. :)Years ago my mom and my sister together showed me how to make a single, double and half double stitch… . Since then, from what I remember I’ve made (from the beginning to the end) one thing. A blanket. Many time I would start doing something just to leave it in the middle. I don’t know why. Maybe because some of those projects were boring (like blankets, or winter scarf). Most of those patterns I saw where too complicated and I thought I don’t have the time to just sit and figure it out. I was young(er) and silly(ier) 😉 …
… and the last thing I would think about was to sit at home and crochet… lol.Â
When I found the pattern for those necklace I decided to give it a try. It didn’t look very complicated – and as you’ll see if you try it on your own – IT’S NOT. Today after I finished this project I’ve decided to make matching bracelet and earings. I’m almost done with the bracelet… but not sure what to do for earings. Buds or blossoms?! 🙂
For those who are interested you can download the pattern for the necklace here:

I didn’t use beads (to stuff the crochet buds) as it says in the directions but instead I rolled the yarn in a small ball and I used it for “stuffing”. Worked great, but… I broke two tapestry needles while trying to thread the cord (chain) through the stuffed buds… . They were plastic, so today I bought a metal one and it worked perfect.
Have a great weekend everybody!
