How I found out that it’s not only me who likes reflections… A LOT

Finally a few days ago I found a usage for my broken mirror… It wasn’t broken when my husband gave it to me… but oh well, life… It is right now. I didn’t want to throw it away because I like mirrors… I like them too much to just get rid of them without trying first to find a way to use it…

So, this is what I came up with.

And this is what’s been happening from the day I put it up on the wall… Birds…. Birds… Birds… and even more birds…

They seem to really like the mirror. They sit there all the time, some of them even try to fight with reflections of themselves… It’s really funny to watch them.

The doves started to mess with my pot before the day I put the mirror on the wall, but since that day they sit there all day and night… I mean I can’t tell if there is only one dove sitting there or they switch… They all look the same!

And today it happened that I found my grandmother’s mirror (thanks to my daughter who diggs everywhere these days).

Small, old, and scratched all over.

  1. oh wow, that photo of you holding the mirror is so cool! I never would have thought to do that! I have tried taking a picture with me and baby looking in the mirror but that is a lot harder to do than I thought. I failed miserably.

I love your photography, so full of nostalgia 🙂

  4. I love your new use – I’m pretty sure I’d just stand outside and stare at the birds looking at themselves.

  5. Oh, wow, this is a great shot you looking in the mirror with her nearby. Talk about her looking JUST like you!

The birds are beautiful. The doves are probably guarding their nest more vigilantly bc of the other birds right now…

    1. Thank you so much!
I’m hoping I’ll be able to see little doves this year. That would be sooo great 🙂 I have never seen anything like that from so close. We don’t go on the patio so often anymore because we don’t want to scare them away. Will see how it’s gonna work out.
Is she really looking like me!?!
