Future Filmmakers Club is a project created in partnership with Calaveras Community TV. Thanks to them this entire program is FREE OF CHARGE to the participants!
How it came to be
Someone shared their experience with CCTV during one of my workshops, sparking my curiosity! I was so excited that I reached out right away and visited the studio to explore everything they have to offer.
There I met with Sarah, the studio manager, and during this first meeting, we came up with the idea for the Young Filmmakers Club – a program where young kids can learn everything about filmmaking. Within two months of this first meeting, we gathered a group of interested kids, and the program was launched.
Future Filmmakers Club goals:
- developing interest-based skills
- learn about filmmaking – from writing scripts to full productions aired on Calaveras Community TV YouTube Channel
- learn how to navigate in a professional studio environment
- learn how to use professional recording and light equipment
- develop a love for meaningful content creation
- community outreach
