Tortilla bowls

Tortillas are the “must have” in our house lately.

My husband likes quesadillas.

Our daughter can eat them just with peanut butter. She likes them a lot!

I like to use them in all kinds of wraps. So far, my favorite are spinach-strawberry wraps on homemade whole wheat tortillas.

My husband is not a big fan of the homemade ones so we still buy them for him.

Anyway, homemade or not we eat a lot of them.

Lately I’ve discovered tortilla bowls and the are a big hit in our home.

Whenever I make them our daughter tends to eat more of what’s inside, what I use to sneak more veggies in her.

They are super easy to make.

I use big muffin baking forms:

Not to torn the bottoms of the tortillas, very delicate I fold the tortillas inside the muffin form.

Bake in 350 F for 10 minutes.

Fill with whatever you want.

Sometimes I make it just for my daughter so she has a funny bowl for her nuts to snack on. She loves it! And I have less dishes to wash 😉

Such a creative little snack bowl! So cute! She makes her food look so delicious! I love the pictures of her chowing down. And hey, if the hubby’s hungry enough, he’ll eat the homemade ones. Just starve him a little. My goodness, anything homemade tastes so much better.

it is true! homemade = much better than anything else! but he is the most picky person I’ve ever met and … well… we are all grown ups… I can’t make him eat what he doesn’t like.
the only thing is that our No.1 tends to be picky the same way her dad is, but I’m trying to introduce to her as many different flavors and dishes as I can so MAYBE she won’t be as bad as her father… (fingers crossed)

My husband can be picky too and I didn’t want to have my children pick up on it. My solution was to feed them things he didn’t like at lunch time when he was gone to lunch. That way there would only be good examples of people eating it around them. It has worked pretty well. My kids are far less picky than he is.

Gabby, you can brush them very lightly with coconut oil and sprinkle with coconut sugar and cinnamon before baking for a sundae!!! they gonna be crisp and sweet, perfect for a dessert!
