365 Self-Portrait Project (week27th)

This week was strange. I slept for most of it. If I didn’t sleep I was watching scary movies like “Don’t be afraid if the dark” (Katie Holmes) or Case 39 (Renee Zellweger) and there was something else but I don’t remember. It’s not like I was really sleeping, cat napping, I should say. 30 minutes here, 20 minutes there. I feel guilty about it, as my husband had to eat chilis for most of the week and when today No. 1 asked for bread with jam I couldn’t give her any because there was no bread at the house…  . So feeling up to it or not… I am baking one right now! 🙂

Saturday:

We are potty training and it’s frustrating, a little. In order to keep our No. 1 on her potty chair we need to read to her. Just as she sits on it she yells: “read!!”, “read!!!”, “read!!!”. She can go all day long not wanting to use it but when it comes to bedtime she just begs me to let her sit on it crying: “potty”, “potty”. That way she knows she can stretch the period between now and bedtime. And she can sit on it for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

Sunday:

I finally took some pictures of a bag I received a few days back. It came from Netherlands from my bloggy friend, crochet genius, Elisabeth Andrée.

Photo Art Friday

It went to Poland first, where my mom, another genius, sewing genius made lining for this bag. It came with a small matching bag for our older daughter and some cute garland. You can see them on Elisabeth’s blog.

Monday:

Just spending some time outside. Relaxing. Playing with kiddo No. 1 while No. 2 was napping. Being honest with you, I wish I was that relaxed and calm in the inside as I look on this picture… .

Thursday:

Frustration, Frustration, Frustration … and lack of motivation! Details in my yesterday’s post. I’m sorry that I am sending you to a different post in order to know what’s going on but I’m just frustrated with everything and with nothing… . Life, I guess.

Hugs from my full of frustration corner.

Have a good one, my friends!

Love yoru low to the ground grass photograph. These types of shots have been a favourite of mine these last few wks – well except mine include legs of the 4 type variety with the dogs 😉

Had to check out your Frustation post and yes I can relate. I do however enjoy your posts and reading about your life as a mother of two young children. Always something going on for sure when kids are around. Your self portraits are insightful and heartfelt.

I adore your snapshot moments of your life…they’re so real and honest. I remember those days of “Mom exhaustion” – I feel tired just thinking about it! Thank you for sharing your images. When my daughter was potty training, what finally worked for us was to buy “presents” at the Dollar store…I wrapped each one and kept them in a basket in the bathroom. Each time she successfully went potty, she could pick one and open it. It worked like a charm! Sending you restful thoughts…

Maybe you need to shake it up, get reinspired, and maybe some blood work to see if you’re low in B vitamins, or iron? Sometimes the exhaustion has a reason deeper than just the frustration surrounding us. Hoping you feel better soon, thanks for keeping it real.

you’re right, but I’ve been taking my prenatal vitamins, as I’ve got many left from where I was pregnant. Maybe I just need some me time… and as you said… more inspiration… something different, something new. Need to think about it!

Being a mom is frustrating! And, potty training is frustrating! I totally get it!

I’m glad to hear you are resting…and don’t beat yourself up.
