I’m 4 days old and I’m keeping my mom busy

We are back!

First of all I want to thank you for all your comments and emails. I so much appreciate you all.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

I left the hospital yesterday – much earlier than normally they would let out women after a c-section. Not that it was their idea 😉 I was getting ants in my pants and wanted to go home as fast as possible. Our precious younger sister was doing great. I was doing even better (while on drugs, of course) so why not go home… .

Luckily, they too, thought that it isn’t a bad idea, and last night was my first night in my bed. O yeah! Finally I had it just for myself (at least my side). In the hospital our Little One decided that she prefers my bed over hers. I wasn’t surprised. So liking it or not I had to share my bed with her, day and night.

Young sister met her Big Sister for the first time a few hours after being born.

At first Big Sister didn’t know what to think and what to do around that Little Creature but after a few minutes of poking her in the eye and nose and hearing all those funny noises the Creature makes she got all excited and happy and couldn’t stop saying: “baby, baby, baby”… 🙂

Now, she is a few days old and so far she is doing great. She sleeps great, eats like a pro, cries like… mhm… in this she is AMAZING! She’s 100 times better than her Big Sister was when she was her age, but shhhh… don’t tell her!

Today, feeling a little bit stronger than yesterday I tried to make a quick newborn session which wasn’t quick at all. I know I might pay for it later with a pain or a visit in ER. (Just remembering my midnight trip to ER after our fist one was born. Don’t want to go through that again).

Anyway, Miss Little Sis slept just for the first 10 minutes.

After those 10 minutes she opened one eye:

and after a few second a second eye followed:

From right that moment she didn’t want to fall asleep again. I fed her, I changed her, I fed her again and again… and the room got even warmer… .

At the end Big Sister had to have her short photo session, too.

Everything ended with a “nap time” what caused this frown here:

So far I’m shocked how different our second Little Darlin is from the newborn our first Little Darlin used to be. It’s amazing how from the same two parents two so totally different creatures can be born.

Overall, this time my child birth experience was something I will cherish, not remember as the most awful time in my entire life – that’s how I remember the first time. Despite a few painful moments before and during my surgery everything went great.

Apart of the pain and even more pain I have almost no memories from the period of 5 (or 6) days when I was laboring and recovering from it 2 years ago. Almost non. I have no memories of connecting with my daughter while breastfeeding (for example) or while just holding her in my arms. I know I was so exhausted and in so much pain I slept every chance I got while my husband was sitting in my hospital room taking care of our daughter.

Now is different.

Now is better.

Now I can say that child birht is a wonderful experience and it doesn’t matter if it’s natural or a c-section.

It really doesn’t matter.

Hugs to all of you from our messy, loud, sleepless but happy corner.
