Survival of the fittest… (wordless(ish) Wednesday)

So, I just want to let you know, that today’s post is sponsored by the word “Wendsday”  or “Wednesday” or “Wedensday”.

it’s the next word from the list of “don’t be surprise if I miss spell it every time I write it” along with “think – instead of thing (and vice versa), now – instead of know (and vice versa)… and so on.

btw, I know that I misspell much more words that I think I do… but I’ve got a list of words that I write wrong constantly… I know I know, I should use the “check spelling” option but… I just don’t want to. Too proud for that I guess, or too lazy… or just don’t want to know how many mistakes I made 😉

anyway, I didn’t know what to write about today, and do not have new pictures. I’m kind of exhausted after last Sunday and days of editing my pictures from celebration of the beatification of Pope John Paul II. I’m not done with them, yet, but I need a break. I promised myself a day with a book today, and so far I haven’t read a page… and it’s 3:30pm. Time to start cooking something. Grrr… So lazy today.

So, those pictures are kind of old. I would say, they were born last Saturday. Enjoy.

This is my second attempt to grow an avocado. Last year it died for some reason, and I really don’t know why. This year I’ll pay more attention.

And be careful those pictures below might my a little disturbing.

WOW! What cool shots. Loved the reflection in the knife right off, then so surprised to see lizards. Very cool!

The first two are super neat, love the sprout especially. The others are cool too but I want to know, is the one really going to eat the other or is this some sort of lizard greeting? 🙂

Our attempts at growing avocado trees never look that attractive! And if I ignore the subject, I am really impressed with the detail and depth of focus you captured with the lizards. Amazing!

I so wish I could be a better food photographer! Pointers? You made the carrots and squash look really yummy and fresh! And even that avocado seed looks SO NEAT! Makes me want to try and grow one.
Thank you SO much for participating in Picture Perfect!
